Are there any studies like physiologically on why this happens? Ever since I got my ring, now ironically girls begin to flirt more, and a lot of them want to be home wreckers.

I'm guessing that (among other things) he would point out that having a partner is a demonstration of value. Having a partner means that other women are very interested in you, so other women who are trying to figure out whether you are worthwhile will use that as a reference point.

It is kind of like how when you are interviewing for a job, you have a better chance of getting it if you ALREADY have a job rather than being unemployed, because it tells your prospective employer positive things about you.

There was actually a study on this, though for the life of me, I can't find a link to the research now. It also applies to just dating, as well as marriage. Basically it's a few things.

Once you've been 'taken', you exert more confidence, and typically aren't as considered about making a good impression on women, because you're already content with what you have. You may not consciously realize that your flirting methods have changed after going into a relationship, but they do, and usually, that makes a man women are attracted to more.

Also, another woman claiming you means you have something of value. Whether that's in personality or physical/monetary assets, there is something about you that makes you a winner. Instead of hunting around in the single department, some woman may see a married man as an automatic safe bet for someone who can support them. Also along the same line, while this is usually much more prevalent in the younger high school/college relationships, people will often have role models or people that they respect as a better man/woman than they, and therefore that person's partner is basically broadcast as Alpha Male to them. While that would still hold true at all ages, it's probably not as true with older relationships.

So boom, you're worth something and you act like a better man from that little marriage band giving you confidence. Congrats.
