Before the movie started, there was a couple in front of me having a riveting discussion about incest anime. But aside from that, that was one of the best theater going experiences ever.

I went to see Ghostbusters last night. It was the 3 of us and one guy 4 rows down in the entire theatre. It was great.

There was a bunch of people who showed up to see this. I honestly loved it.

Also, everyone clapped at the end, naturally.

Re-screening of the original. There's only one little somewhat well known theater in town that re-screen old movies and I was so happy to find out they were doing Scream this year.

Thats awesome, TC. Local theaters and smaller chain theaters that play old movies like this are the best. Theres really nothing quite like going to see an older movie. Especially one that has meaning to you. I mean, how could there be?

No, but there were other people who were. I assume some people there have never seen the movie before and that made the whole thing so much more fun.

Yeah, Scream is one of those movies I've seen hundreds of times but have always wanted to see in a theater. Mainly because I was too busy barely being alive when it first came out.

Totally. I love the Scream films. Even 3, which is considered the worst one. Yeah, it's kind of bad, but I have a bias. I can watch any these films and enjoy it the whole way through.
Gonna go see the new one too, even though that January release date doesn't instill a lot of faith...

The TV show can go kick rocks though.

The show touched on the themes of the original very well. Is the killer supernatural or not? This is the most important aspect of Scream perhaps, and the trick was very much lost on the sequels. Its like trying to do Sixth Sense again. We already know. You see dead people. Bruce Willis is one of them. Everybody knows.

Im honestly surprised Scream is a thing as a franchise. The first one is a very self-contained thriller satire movie. But, I am super supportive of EVERYONE in Scream. I think its intelligent. I need a slasher franchise with family values that doesnt totally suck. Scream fills a lot of spots in my heart. People today might not realize it too, but that was the perfect way to end the slasher craze. Hollywood used to just say something when it wanted to. Very direct
