I'm still at work and I got the phone call from my mom. She wants me to come her house when I get off, but I'm kind of afraid to because it sounds like everyone is freaking the fuck out over there.

I don't know. All my mom told was that he was killed but didn't go into specifics. I assume she's waiting to tell me when I get to her place.
I wasn't all too close to him either, but I see him around, you know?

It's been a long day for me but from what I've gathered he was shot in the stomach at some girl's house. He's associated with a gang and one of his friends that he's usually around is nowhere to be found. So the reason why this happened is still up in the air.

They found his friend. Apparently, he didn't know he died because he was at work that day. I also mixed up the story a bit. He was killed in his apartment and that's%u200B where his girlfriend found him. They also stole a bunch of his stuff, including his guns and his car.
My mom speculated to me in private (because she wants to be completely sure first before she brings this up with the rest of the family), but I have another cousin that this cousin is close with that she believes might have been the one who perpetrated this. Let's call him cousin #2 and the deceased cousin #1.

She broke it down to me:
The other cousin is a constant trouble maker who's constantly going in and out of jail for shit like drug abuse, ripping off his family, gang banging, robbery and pointing guns at people, etc. Dumb shit like that. So of course most of the family disowned him, but cousin #1 is one of the who, for whatever reason, puts up with him.
Cousin #1 has recently started getting his own place, going to college, got a job, so of course, cousin #2 started trying to leech off of him. Eventually, he might've tried to steal from him like he's done to many other family members before. Only this time, there wasn't anyone to stop the confrontation and it probably lead to what happened here.

Cousin #2 has always been a fucking idiot waste of air, but I never seen him as being the type to kill one of his own family. Especially one of the few who actually gave him a chance. But when she put it like that, I can actually see it going down like that. Because this was, without a doubt, done by someone that he knew.

My mom is usually pretty straight laced and calm but she seems like she's on the edge of a meltdown right now just thinking about cousin #2 being the one behind this.

TL;Dr: My other cousin might have killed him.
