Dozens of Republicans have gone all out to say they'll only accept the election results if Trump wins.

These aren't random assholes on the street, these are sitting governors, senators, and house members that are openly saying they'll refuse to accept the will of the people.

So what do you do when half of the political parties openly discredits democracy?

They shouldn't be a party anymore. They are actually not valid and we shouldn't pretend otherwise. The party should be banned and their people deradicalized.

This will be the hardest part. Alt Right ideology has existed for decades and once Trump gave them legitimacy, a row of dominoes started falling. We're now at a point where conspiracy and demagoguery is represented in elected officials in equal measure as it is citizens.

Unless the GOP loses every election until well after Trump's death, there's no hope for deradicalization. His gross rhetoric has been completely normalized.

It should be the same as inciting an insurrection or giving aide to the enemy, or simply being old enough to run for office. If you attack democratic institutions with intent to harm the electoral process. You should be disqualified from running for a political office ever again.
