Bubble tea is terrible for you most of the time due to the sugar content.

i dislike bubble tea because i went to a smoothie shop when i was a teenager once and the guy at the counter asked me if i wanted boba in mine, and i had no idea what boba is, so i asked him "what's boba?" and he said "boba is like gummy bears". i figured okay, i like gummy bears, so i gave it a shot.

it was not like gummy bears.

Must be a cultural thing if you believe bubble tea is trendy and expensive. Its been around since the 90s in my area and most places are cheaper than a drink from Starbucks.

No, because they're nothing alike food/drink-wise. Not in terms of taste or nutrition or anything.

Everything is cheaper than starbucks when it comes to non-alcoholic drinks.

Unless you plan on chugging it, how is it an interruption to get some chew on with each sip?
