holy shit

that was one of the worst episodes of anything ever

the disney movie sidekick who exists for the sake of the audience SUCKS SO BAD. he's so fucking annoying, everything about him. spelling out obvious shit, asking obviously expository questions, not shutting the fuck up ever. he belongs in fucking disney or something

this show is horrific at setup. the bell around his leg thing, ok sure its obvious to anyone its going to fuck them over in a later episode or something

but the drunk flashback guy, with the hilarious tidus laugh. by the second laugh youre like LMFAO is this the same sound byte, ok so now we know she will meet him in the future and recognize him when he AH HA HA HA

also, does like, magic and superpowers exist and shit? ppl are cutting thru trees and the blind dude toph senses

that sex scene was uncomfortable. it was somewhat in service of the story but dude, when she screamed GLORYYY i laughed so hard i thought i was going to die. before that part it was just porn

the violence is weird. i like over the top gore but it has to make sense. quickly hacking a guy up and his guts flying on the sealing is...how

Sounds like nitpicking. Also Id say gore goes hand in hand with the samurai genre since...well you have swords making people heads fly and committing seppuku left and right.

Show has amazing story telling and its highly rated.

The show came out 7 months ago, I can't remember what explicitly happened in episode 2. But I thought the show was pretty fun with some good action.

Yeah I don't remember what happens in each episode except for episode 5 which made it a goated show

I hear the show is good. It got good reviews.

I haven't watched it myself though.

Yeah it got to a point where I couldn't do this anymore and it actively hampered my enjoyment of the last few episodes

so i just watched the third episode

this show literally thinks everyone who watches it is an idiot

the third episode was more or less garbage

so this taigen guy. i fucking hate this, its so over the top. less deft shows do this thing where, a character they want to redeem, or want the audience to eventually take a shine to, they have him act like a completely one dimensional jackass so as to highlight the difference between that and when he eventually cleans up his act

enough of that. thats for babies. you do not need a character to be a 1D cartoon person before showing them grow and humble and change. i really hate to do this to the show, but look at Zuko in avatar. yes he begins arrogant, and copes here and there. but more or less immediately we see he is more than that. he is capable of learning and growing and showing strength of character well before his turn. he was a character independent of his exposure to aang and team avatar. taigen literally goes from haha u suck i rock cope and seethe to "use my body as a shield lmao"

also fatty fatty boombalatty sucks so bad dude. him killing the giant was decent but then he screams SNOWCAP HAHA LOL

like holy fuck guys we get it. you need to have some faith in ur audience like god damn. i dont know if the editor is responsible for this or what, but there is so much fluff. its show, dont tell. not show and tell

god when he saved them and she went "useful" - i lost it. the show is constantly as stupid as i expect it to be. like it keeps completely reaffirming my utter lack of faith in it

huh? how am i being nitpicky? and i talk about stuff i like all the time. this is like the fifth or sixth topic of mine u've said this in, what exactly is ur issue with me

episode 4

this one was weird. again it was like a bunch of conventional animators trying to buck conventions, i think. like, the animation world is more or less starved for content like this episode, so in this respect, i can see the value in it. but it was a bit much. i genuinely do think the brothel scenes more or less felt like The Boys

and the scene with the princess proving her worth and her cunning, that felt really contrived to me. like, it went exactly how i expected it to go, and im getting tired of that. im not even consciously predicting the show, its just where my brain naturally falls and the show plays right into it

i thought it was great how the main character killed the chick and considered killing the child to preserve her stealth. that was good, both caught me off guard in a good way

the villains are unimposing and lame. theyre like, still being developed sure but they have no presence. theyre torturing a guy idc about, theyre being uncleverly brutal. its boring

the animation continues to be the best thing about it. also the fat sidekick wasnt so in my face in this one, which was great. finally getting a chance to breathe

a lot of minor moments that rubbed me wrong but not necessarily worth docking points for either

I liked it. Hope there is a season 2.

this episode was a slight bump in quality due to just saying fuck it and embracing full stupid. it tried to tow the line too much before this but this one went full tilt

i still thought it sucked tho lol

its hard to find motivation to write up my thoughts anymore cuz my partner and i have started dissecting and analyzing them after we watch each one, so by the time we wrap up with that im more or less over it. he works in film so its particularly interesting to talk about. he is constantly surprised at my insights too cuz i have fucking awful taste, it confuses the fuck out of him

if the show continues along this vein then I will actually enjoy it more than I have been. if it embraces the stupid instead of trying to ride the line, I can respect that and let myself relax and just enjoy it
