Are they based on real japan politicians. It seems like they would be the conservative party of japan based on the plot

I think they tend to trend that way.

Japan's Liberal Democratic Party is neither of those things, so that checks out

That's what I thought. The wiki about japaenese political parties confused me. I also know that a few years ago, leftists parties in my country used to be less supportive of sex workers hence the confusion

To my knowledge the LDP is quite big tent. The party has different "sub-factions" ranging from centrists to far-right ultranationalists. Shinzo Abe was uncomfortably close to the ultranationalist wing of the LDP but the current PM - Fumio Kishida is more centrist, although Kishida is also unpopular atm and is implicated in a lot of scandals.
