I really disliked the one that released right before abyss legendia. It also does not help that on the first week of it's release I got sick as hell because I happened to get pneumonia right at that time....my memories of the game is great music, throwing stuff as senel is ok, chloe is cool, these antagonists is meh, senel's sister is meh, but coughing up constant gunk otherwise. Most of his arc is dealing with the fact that he's a sociopath that has done some truly unforgivable things and how he atones for his past actions while still dealing with the current conflict that he's partially responsible for. It's just that it takes a long time before you fully get into his story, so you're largely left with an asshole who may or may not be funny to you. He is an actual sociopath... that doesn't like that he's a sociopath. And his past is quite the doozy. He accidentally killed his professor, probably one of the few people he remotely cared about, while trying to cast a spell. Tried to bring her back as a replica, but said replica was an unstable, amoral, homicidal monster. (My absolute scorching hot take is DotnW is better but it's also my personal favorite so loads of bias) Vesperia is just a wannabe Abyss and is the one I kick out of my top 3 for Graces. Graces has the best combat, serviceable story, serviceable endgame and isn't just a ripoff like vesperia. If there's one thing I don't understand it's people liking Graces F. The combat may be some of the best in the full series but holy hell is everything else NOT serviceable. It's trash instead.
