I've beat it legit even insisting wakka score some goals. I had to reload a few times I admit.

I wanna say I've had Wakka score a goal before too, but it's been so long. I feel like the very first time I beat it was legit since I didn't know about the "hiding behind goal" exploit early on.

First game is relatively simple if you know how to play blitzball. On a first playthrough though it's babies first match so it's gonna feel incredibly hard and unfair. And to be fair, for a lot of people even on subsequent playthroughs it's hard because they wouldn't have invested the time into playing it after the mandatory game.

Edit: now on the other hand, if they had you playing the Al Bhed Psyches in the first match, that would be near impossible. Probably why they had that one be a story win.

Think for me it was tides scored three wakka scored two.

Wanna say once I insisted walla being the top scorer but I may have used the hide behind the goal method while tidus was in play on that run.

I've spend hours upon hours in blitzball and that first match is still a tough one every single time. Granted it's usually been 5-8 years when I go for another playthrough

It's not so much the stats as knowing how to manipulate the AI. There is an element of luck, for sure, like winning the first blitz off, but then it's fairly simple to play defensive until the second half when you can get sphere/Jecht shot. You can even go on the offensive in the first half and with some luck Tidus can score.

By "knowing how to play blitzball" I didn't mean just the rules and controls, I meant knowing how to play around the AI.

I saw Crimsoness at a grocery store in Los Angeles yesterday. I told her how cool it was to meet her in person, but I didnt want to be a douche and bother her and ask her for photos or anything. She said, Oh, like youre doing now? I was taken aback, and all I could say was Huh? but she kept cutting me off and going huh? huh? huh? and closing her hand shut in front of my face. I walked away and continued with my shopping, and I heard her chuckle as I walked off. When I came to pay for my stuff up front I saw her trying to walk out the doors with like fifteen Milky Ways in her hands without paying.
The girl at the counter was very nice about it and professional, and was like Ma'am, you need to pay for those first. At first she kept pretending to be tired and not hear her, but eventually turned back around and brought them to the counter.
When she took one of the bars and started scanning it multiple times, she stopped her and told her to scan them each individually to prevent any electrical infetterence, and then turned around and winked at me. I dont even think thats a word. After she scanned each bar and put them in a bag and started to say the price, she kept interrupting her by yawning really loudly.

Luca Goers have been getting dogged the last few years but the recent trades and the firing of their head coach leaves them in the perfect position to make some explosive moves this year. They led the league in passing last year and held strong against their bitter rivals the Guado Glories. Don't sleep on the captain, Bickson, because with his Anti-Nap technique, you literally can't.

I don't mean they're unbeatable, I simply mean that their stats are pretty high very early on compared to other teams.
