I make meatloaf often. Personally I use ketchup with it though I do not cook it on the meatloaf as a base with a mixed concoction sweet glaze. It comes off too sweet that way. I use the ketchup separately after the meatloaf has been cooked. It is especially good as leftovers as meatloaf sandwiches which I legitimately just had last week.

I have never been one to use gravy with meatloaf though I see it is popular in many places and I see a lot of pictures of it online.

We glaze it with a mixture of ketchup, brown sugar, and mustard, then let it bake for a bit so the glaze hardens (idk the proper term for that process). Its fucking great though.

Surprised that ketchup is so high. Not that there's anything wrong with ketchup, especially in moderation. But I'd so rather have brown gravy.

Or eat as is. Usually I give it enough flavor that it doesn't need anything.
