It always seemed like simpsons mostly ignored family guy while family guy is the one desperately trying to call them and connect with them and do parodies/references to them.

The "I was the It Boy in 2006!" one was 100% justified, since Family Guy bashed Robot Chicken in the exact same way (down to using the same year as when they were relevant).

Yeah, all the "adult cartoons" throw shade at each other like this, from time to time.

Which reminds me it is high time for HULU Futurama to take a shot at FG. Everybody gets one.

Respectfully: I was thinking this too. And there is a scene from the crossover in the video!

That last scene is from the crossover episode, which was written by the Family Guy writers.

Which, IIRC, ends with Bart discovering both his parents dead.

The creator of Robot Chicken does one of the voices on Family Guy, doesn't he?

Hulu Futurama needs to focus on not being boring as hell. Not only was it not funny but the story lines were awful.

Family Guy's always been such an anomaly of a show to me. It clearly does well enough to keep existing, but I don't think I've ever seen a single unironic fan of it anywhere.

Unlike all of its contemporaries (Simpsons, KotH, Futurama, South Park, even its sibling show American Dad to an extent), you never see anyone really talk about good episodes or moments. Like almost ANY video/clip I've seen on Youtube of any of those other shows will, without fail, have multiple upvoted comments about how it's so much better than Family Guy specifically, or how FG would've done it worse, or etc etc.

It's just always been weird to me.

No, it goes farther, Quagmire kills the Simpson children as well. Some speculated that Maggie actually killed him since we only hear a gunshot after Quagmire finds her, which honestly would have made it a lot better, but I doubt that's what they were going for.

Doesnt this happen to every show when it hits season 22? I hear what you are saying, but none of the shows you mentioned are the force they were-because they have been going on so long.

Family Guy never had the impact the Simpsons or South Park did, but there was plenty of conversation around it in its day. Now it is past 20 seasons and airing on Wed. nights.

I havent heard anyone really talking about any of these shows in years.
