Me?

I can't stand bone-in. Useless, inedible media in the middle of my meat. Like someone putting a rock in your sandwich.

Bone and gristle. Tastes better? I don't think so my guy. Tastes the same, just without the extra work.

Bone in. Boneless wings are just chicken nuggets - and that's fine, I don't dislike them, but they're not the same thing.

Boneless wings aren't wings, they are either breast meat strips or jumbo sized chicken nuggets and they shouldn't be advertised as wings. They do not taste the same, nor do they have the same texture.
Also, wing places should include the tips, just because they don't have much meat on the doesn't mean I don't want them.

This will be repeated ad-infinitum in this topic. It won't matter, because restaurants have adopted the term "boneless wings", but internet bros will rage about this forever.
(I'm not saying you're raging, btw)

I prefer bone-in because it's dark meat and because picking the meat off the bones is part of the fun

I absolutely pick the meat out of those and I don't know why people think it's weird

And it SHOULD be repeated, becasue regardless of what you call them, only one of them are actually the wing of the chicken.

You can ask how you like your chicken breast, bone-in or boneless, becasue both are actually still chicken breasts.

Boneless wings are not made with wing meat so they are not wings.

[LFAQs-redacted-quote]

While a lot of places do it, usually to further disguise the fact they are using breast meat, wings traditionally aren't breaded. Their crunchyness is just from their bare skin being fried.

Yeah, "boneless" wings will almost always be breaded. I don't know if I've ever seen them any other way, because that's how you get the crunchiness.

Bone in wings, on the other hand, are rarely breaded, at least in my experience. I wouldn't be surprised if there are certain countries or regions that do it, tho.

Usually boneless are called wings because they're in sauce like wings. If they're not in sauce they're just nuggets.

Yeah, if I want wings they should be bone in. Nothing against chicken nuggets, but they're not really wings.

The only place I've every been to that "bread" their wing is Hooters, and their wings are god awful.

The only place that I can recall having breaded wings is one of my local Asian fusion places, like they have Japanese, Thai, etc...

and the wings were terrible lol, they were so dry

Boneless

I've found a bone stuck in my gums one time while flossing. I think it's from chicken wings. Scared the crap out of me.

Idk how long it had been stuck there. It was kinda hard to get out. Was in the gum near molar
