You know, it's shown that if you talk to people that you know and care about regarding your politics, you have a higher chance of convincing them rather than if you were strangers.

This is a gamble, though. My older brother and I had a great relationship, but he sent me a Tucker think piece, and when I told I wasn't a fan, it spiraled out of control and he said I have a demon's heart just a few days later.

Some in here clearly aren't understanding this, there is no compromise or bipartisanship with those types because it's not just about talking to another person to influence them & make them see your side. It's a deep consuming hole of propaganda they've fallen into, jovial handshakes & sharing a Coors or whatever while you talk in the majority of cases isn't going to change their minds.

That's what my issue with the brothers is because at 16 minutes they say emphatically that they believe they can still pull that off. Twitter is where information and discourse goes to die if it doesn't get community notes, but they are two white dudes so I doubt they understand the gravity of the next few years which is another part of the problem.

Destiny helps organize canvassing events, works with progressive victory, & does actually get off his ass to help with political action unlike Vaush or Hasan I give him credit for that. The brothers are pretty much online journos though, I wouldn't bank much in them but it's pathetic seeing them not learn anything after 4 years of trump & seeing how Republicans behave today.

Yet half this board doesn't disagree on the severe threat that the GOP represents and how this country will go straight down the shitter in the next few years if they have their way.
