When I was a kid/teen it would've been below the knees, but as I got older I got more comfortable with shorts above the knee.

As a formerly overweight guy, who is now I'm good shape, I still have massive calves because of the extra weight I used to carry.
I still have body image issues and try cover myself up as much as I can. Long shorts all the way for me. Not a fan of short shorts and the fashion of them. Not my style. --- Stand out, fit in ... Copied to Clipboard!

I don't really wear shorts anymore, but if I do I prefer them just below the knee so when I sit they move to just above the knee.

Below the knees. I like baggy and comfy athletic shorts. I grew up in the 80s with incredibly short shorts that always get made fun of when we look at the nba from that era.
Then Michael Jordan and the bulls started wearing those long and baggy shorts that became an influence for the fab five at Michigan and they started wearing them and finally the fashion changed. Jalen Rose talks about how he always used to look for the biggest pair of shorts so he could be comfy. Thanks to that fashion change in the early 90s my high school basketball team was able to ditch those short shorts from the 80s and get some baggy athletic shorts that were long. Ive worn them that way ever since and vastly vastly prefer it. I dont give a fuck about fashion or whats popular. I want comfort. Long and baggy for me. No nut huggers. And Ill never wear nice Jean or Khaki shorts. No cargo shorts.
