oh god, help

When I was a kid, like elementary age, I stared at the sun due to a stupid bet my cousin made. She said she could stare at the sun without it hurting so we both stared to see who could stare the longest. Not sure how long I stared, but afterwards, I had that ball of light in my eye like when you look at a light bulb. Except instead of going away after seconds/minutes, it took weeks or a months even. It would just gradually get smaller. Even when it finally got smaller though, my vision in my right eye was definitely weaker. And for years, I had a blindspot dead center in my eye the size of a pinhole. Like if I was reading a book, the very middle of the letter of where I was staring was invisible. Wasn't really that noticeable though. But my vision in my right eye was weak enough to need glasses, while my left eye was fine. I got PRK years ago though and got 20/20 in both eyes. 20/15 at one point I think.

bro, that sucks. crazy how a small little dare could have crazy repercussions like that :(

I probably could have prevented some damage if I would have told somebody. But I was too embarrassed since I was definitely old enough to know better. >_> I was in 5th grade.
