Like if a dog does something they shouldn't. It's 100 percent the owners fault according to the internet even if the owner isn't home. Like wtf?

Person goes into mountain lion territory. Mountain lion does what mountain lions do. Mountain lion was later destroyed.

The owner is responsible for controlling and maintaining their animal (i.e socialization, training and properly containing them). Most people aren't aware of the warning signals that dogs give before they actually bite, they typically do quite a few things before they bare teeth and growl.

Because they're animals and many owners, if not most, do a real shit job at properly training their pet animal and ensuring the have the right enrichment, exercise, etc.

Also, many (first-time) owners get a breed or animal that they are woefully inexperienced for or do not have nearly the right territory for. Too many owners get a pet because of the look/known demeanor (guard dog) and then do nothing with it and the dog is stressed, depressed and it causes them to act out, sometimes by attacking.

So it is a lot more logical (and easier really) to blame the owner.

While there are cases where an otherwise well adjusted animal has attacked without warning/any notable stressor or reasoning, it is rare.
