if the camera man is telling the truth and they communicated the stunt to that driver and he chose to do that anyway, then everyone in this video sucks. the youtubers had no right to ask him to stop or impede traffic, but it was the right thing to do since they were going ahead with the stunt and his actions could have killed the idiot.

When somebody says "I don't think we need to call nothing in," that's basically them admitting fault.

If the camera man asked the guy to wait i dont see the trouble of them filming the stunt that literally is less than a minute. Even if the driver is against it pulling out anyway isnt the way to go.

The driver quite literally has the right of way. "Hold on, I want to film this tiktok stunt" is not a reason for anybody to have to act against normal traffic laws. The driver was probably legally fine, since the skater hit him not the other way around. Even if you have the right of way you're not allowed to hit pedestrians though.

And possibly the cameraman doesn't have the resources to take it to court. He knows the hill bomb to start isn't going to fly when law enforcement hears of it. His outrage front was just his continuing lack of mind in how to navigate the crap situation he helped conoct.

The driver obviously could have tried to make more sense of the situation, but it's San Francisco. Well the Bay Area in general. A lot of people are dense and also try to make up rules for themselves. It started with higher class entitlement and now every level is exploiting how much they can get away with, turning it into the dump it's been becoming.

I'd say the fact that, as soon as the driver offered to call in the accident, the cameraman immediately went to "Naaah we don't need to do that," implies that there was no agreement.

Or just not do stunts on public roads.

No, because they were the ones hit, they didn't hit the skater. You're not obligated to call in an accident you didn't cause. They could for insurance reasons, but in no world would they be at fault.

The skaters were at fault. They don't own the road. They skated into the car like a dummy. If you want to do stunts, do it somewhere else at your own expense.

Maybe as far as driving laws. Or morally he is not inclined to have to follow it. But out of concern for injury and some respect for another's saftey and human life even if he was against it and thought they were not worth following their instructions he should just let himself be inconvenient for less than a minute. I dont see how that was too much of a request. People do this all thw time double parking, moving sonething, etc.

I could see if it was going to take a long time or it wasnt going to result in a possible crippling injury. But even in this topic they are just skater trash so oh well.

Why are you taking the skaters side in this lmao. All we see in the video is a dude screaming FASTER FASTER followed by the cameraman saying I TOLD YOU TO STOP, which he never said. If a dude flies through an intersection into your vehicle thats not on you, thats on the person who decided to risk skating on a public road.

Nothing about the skaters action was safe or concerned about human life. Dont put that on the driver.

Yeah legally speaking the driver is not at fault in any shape, way, or form. Morally speaking, if it was true that the guy in the camera told the driver not to turn the corner and he initially agreed but he did it anyways, I say it's a 10% to 90% at fault (10 to the driver and 90 to the skater) because the skater is being a dumbass for skating in the middle of the road but the driver not honoring his word can be seen as scummy. I know people will go "but the car is putting the skaters life at risk" but like this skater is putting himself at risk going that fast in the middle of the road, if it wasn't this car it could've been some other car with the more right of way that could've caused it.

If this was a car that blew through a 4 way stop and slammed into someone no one would even consider defending them.

I wouldn't be surprised if the whole thing wasn't staged but the driver isn't at fault, especially not legally.

Camera man should have donned reflective vest and held out his hand in front of the car if he wanted direct or control traffic for the duration of the stunt.
