Can you only teleport from one tile to another? Or can you teleport from anywhere on earth to one of your placed tiles?
You have to be on the tile to use it.

Can I put one on a vehicle?
No, they have to be on actual terrain.

What if I put a pile of dirt in the back of the vehicle?

Conversely, does this mean I have to place the tile on natural ground rather than manmade structures?

Do, or do not. There is no Trumble.

I suppose I should have said "solid ground" instead, including stable man-made structures.

Warp tiles as long as they can be moved around.
Yeee

I'm just wondering if people can move them or steal them.

As for people's usages of them, keeping one at home obviously makes sense. But to me the most obvious other thing is to always have one on you in case of an emergency.

My job is close to home so unless have a spare I'm not using I'm not going to waste one on that.

Other states or countries seems like the obvious choice to have free travel for vacation after initial cost.

Well, if youre looking at needing to work the rest of your life currently, that would imply that you dont have much, if any, money put away for retirement. It would also suggest you dont own your home outright or anything like that.

If thats the case, I dont see how $250k would set you up for instant retirement. It wouldnt set me up for it and I live somewhere dirt cheap.

Assuming youre somewhere around the average age for these boards, and you expect to live to the average life expectancy , that averages out to about 6k per year, which is not enough to live on, especially if you still need to pay for housing.

You could, of course, invest it, but an investment of 250k is unlikely to reliably give you a substantial enough return to live on.

You're half right. I dont make much thus i am expecting to work until the day i die. You are wrong in thinking that day is 30+ years away for me though.

At current costs a 250k lump sum would last me between 9-10 years. I imagine i would be a lot more self indulging in retirement and thus trim that time down some but all the same id expect a decent portion of the money to outlive me.

What makes you think that you have less than a decade to live?
