wiiking96 04/04/24 1:29:15 PM #1:	Being woke just means being aware of societal injustice. Martin Luther King Jr. was extremely woke. Malcom X was extremely woke. Slavery abolitionists were extremely woke. Women's Suffragists were extremely woke. Gay Marriage advocates are extremely woke. If you even perceive being woke as negative, you hold regressive views on advocacy for civil rights. The fight for civil rights is far from over, if it even can end. If you see a black person say that systematic racism still exists, and you get reflexively angry at that black person, ask yourself: Why are you so mad? Don't you want systemic racism to end? Why not listen to people from marginalized communities and take them at their word? Don't be a man-child who gets upset at people who advocate for a better world. --- We should strive to create a world of love and compassion. It's like how everything they don't like is communism/socialism. It doesn't matter if it's true just that people know it means "bad". Now the term has been so poisoned that you can't use it for its intended purpose anymore.
