The third game is just going to be called final fantasy: Chadley and the game disk will just boot up assassin's creed unity when you put it in.

Hopefully at some point when the trilogy and sequel trilogy is complete, modders can cut him out entirely and combine all 7 games into one seamless experience

pretty sure devs knew people hated chadley and thats why they made MAI

I really don't get the Chadley/MAI hate. They aren't nearly as annoying as everyone makes them out to be.

I don't mind Chadley but I can't stand MAI. It wouldn't be so bad if she didn't talk forever and you have to hear her say it every time if you redo something.

For me it's a couple of different things. I don't really like that his character design and level of tech doesn't really fit with other characters, but he's certainly not the only new character that has a weird modern design. I also personally find his way of speaking kind of annoying and it only gets worse if you don't do the side quests and he gives you little passive aggressive nudges when you talk to him about how you've been neglecting your research.

But most critically, I think most people hate Chad ley because he is explicitly tied in to all the Ubisoft open world nonsense. It's not just that Chadley exists and runs the vrs combat Sim and you can talk to him in town. It's that every tower, every side objective, etc inherently involves doing some sort of extremely simple button press mini-game, then waiting for cloud to open up his little TV gun so that Chadley can give him some kind of meaningless update. Chadley being the face of all the worst parts of the open world certainly goes a long way towards explaining why people hate him.

Whilst i agree, they do talk a LOT.

Mai + Unique Battles = me not being able to hear much whilst my controller speaker goes full waterfall mode lol... Like cant you do it OUTSIDE the battle please?

So, I think I realize why I never minded them. Do they talk through the controller speaker? I've had mine muted for ages, so I don't think I've ever even heard MAIs voice. Didn't even think she had one until seeing the hate for her.

90% of my interaction with the two was just quick button presses or easy to ignore messages while I fought.

MAI is cute and I haven't seen much of her. She can't be worse

You can change whether she speaks... through the controller or tv via menu

But yeah i suppose if you have controller audio turned off via console settings, you wont get to hear her exposition during unique battles.

Well damn. I feel like a missed a lot of dialogue now, because I never even thought about the controller speaker.

Everytime that little shit Chadley reminds me that I still have optional objectives to complete i want to spit. No you little dickweed, i have to progress the story to get to those dumbasshole.

I believe Chadley is the true Sephiroth pulling the strings all along! He knows to much and has to much connections to power. Hes the final boss.

Turn the controller speaker off in the game settings. I literally can't hear her over the battle sounds and music.
