Not very much. I'll still call them in an emergency but I know I'm in less danger from a renegade cop because I'm a white man.

Zero. Cops around here love lasergunning drivers 'speeding' 3km/h over the speed limit or beating up old people protesting, but tend to run and hide when actual criminal stuff is going on

My SO's brother is a police officer and is probably the only one I'd trust these days.

I feel like they are probably some of the least trustworthy people you could ever think of.

"Trust" is a strong word.

Like, I don't distrust a rabid dog, I do my damnedest to stay the fuck away from it.

I don't trust them with much of anything beyond solving some crime, and maybe asking them simple things like directions.

YouTube has shown me that even a "good" cop(one that won't murder you over nothing) still doesn't know jack shit about the law and will arrest you if you so much as offend them.

I'm honestly probably more afraid of the cops than gangs and random criminals as of now honestly.

I was once pulled over at gunpoint by five cops and almost shot to death because my license plate was "close enough" to that of a stolen motorcycle (I was driving a car)

they told me to change my license plate or it would keep happening

I've never had a problem with the police personally. I've had to call the cops to remove a psychotic customer a couple of times in the past & was glad to have them.

not at all. I have general anxieties around police officers after a few bad experiences with them.
the past few years hasn't really helped my opinion on them, either.

A decent amount, since I used to do office work in a police station. But mostly, I trust the ones I was cool with. A cop I've never met before could still turn out to be a corrupt asshole.

I've actually only had really positive experiences with police officers, one helped me change my tire once, but I've always just been apprehensive of them because, well shit happens. The same kind of apprehensive that keeps me from being buddy buddy with managers. They have lots of power and I just try not to put myself in bad situations.

Man, I remember once in college, campus police stopped me because I didn't have my license plate. I told them it had fallen off and it was under my passenger seat. I then proceeded to freaking just go and reach for the plate under the seat without telling him what I was doing. At night.
No idea how I didn't get a gun pulled on me there, lol.

I am good with cops. Idk what are going on some cities ,but I am glad that we don't have thug cops.

Quite a bit.

Never had any issues with them (even they pulled me over and handcuffed me over a mistaken identity). I've been given more warnings than tickets, and they're always patrolling my neighborhood while I'm away on business (I see them on my multiple cameras overlooking some roads)

It's been proven that a vast majority of police are power tripping bullies who never fucking grew up.

Just look at all the stories of police misconduct over the last decade, especially during Trump's term.

Look at how they escalated tensions during BLM, shoving down non-threatening 70 year olds and giving them brain injuries or shooting people in the eye with bean bags who were just standing there.

The entire police body in the United States needs a deep clean and reform. Unfortunately it'll never happen.
