And the Convention staff just watched and let this happen simply because it wasn't a real gun despite clear disruptions and harassment. I could see someone being terrified if they had thought it was real It's been a looong time since I've been to any kind of convention proper, but even back then any prop had to be checked in with security and either: peacebound, have a ribbon put on it, or otherwise be checked for obvious markings like a bright orange barrel.
