I remember liking the fishing minigame

I loved it at first. It's such a cool concept for a game, just road tripping with your bros.

Then you realize that's all it is for like 80% of the game.

To be fair, it was in development hell and the director did manage to make a game out of it. It's unfortunate it turned out the way it did though. Would've definitely been better if it was a linear game since the open world was one of the worst part about the game...like Hogwarts Legacy.

the road trip aspect is fine, and I love the vibes, but everything else is half baked

What's frustrating is there's genuine emotional moments in the game. But it drops the ball so hard on character and plot development that those moments feel diluted to me.

I love the fact that you can troll the ending in this game, I used a picture of Ardyn and that was what caused her Lunafreya to kiss Noctis lol.

i know people are hating on it but is it worth playing? I really have a FF itch after beating Rebirth.

Going from rebirth to 15 would be like going from DMC5 to DMC2

15 is a sloppy mess of a game with very rare good story beats, great visuals and music in between

its ok to play, but not worth to invest in, I would not spend over 20 bucks for this game

Best fishing minigame in gaming imo. And the post game dungeon, Pitioss, was a lot of fun, even if the platforming felt kind of janky

Yes. Not a bad game, but it was taken out of the oven way too early and a story for which you needed multiple media to simply understand whats going on.

Graphics wise it still holds up even to this day

The FF7 remakes feel like the natural progression of what they were trying to go for in 15. It feels like an improvement of 15, so as a result it's going to feel inferior. I'd still give it a shot because it has a lot of similarities to Rebirth.

16 is a way different experience. It's a better game, but the storytelling, tone, and gameplay is different.

I would try 15, then 16. Also, make sure you have the DLC for 15. It's practically necessary.
