or even like a domino's ? Do they have like an hour or half hr blocked out for their lunch? iirc many smaller restaurants do not give them a set time, like always at something like a walmart

I've worked at different pizza chains as a delivery driver. We didn't typically get a lunch break, but there was usually food from canceled orders or something there if you wanted to grab something when you had a free moment.

if you're under 18 i think they legally have to give you 30 minutes if you work over like 6 hours.

i worked at mcdonalds and if we worked 8+ hours we'd get a lunch break. think even 18+ still could get one over 6 hours but not really worth taking it. working in the grill area it was easy enough to just make food or grab some nuggets if you were hungry. not supposed to but everyone did. i would even make grilled cheeses for the girl working drive thru lol.

yeah, I worked at a red robin for a while and they'd give a 30 min break for 6 hour shifts, and 8+ hour shifts got a 30 min break + two 15 min paid breaks.
4 hour shifts, which is what most part time ppl like me got which didn't have any breaks.

smokers basically got a 5 min break whenever they wanted, as long as it wasn't busy or there was prep to do, and if it'd been at least 45 min since their last smoke break.

I worked for Olive Garden for 2ish years and never once got a lunch. At best we'd have to pay for our own food and eat it whenever we were not on the floor.

I mean, yeah lol they'd also make sure employees never hit a full 30 hours so they weren't required to give health benefits. So they'd cut people to be within that.

I'd often leave only working 2 to 4 hours. Sometimes with $100+ in my pocket, sometimes with $20 in my pocket. Not a great place to work for but I was young and dumb.

Busser for half a year then server. Bussers tend to get more hours because there was only like 4 of us. There were like 20 servers that worked there tho. Cooks got full time for the most part but never broke for lunch. If you smoked you'd get a 5 minute break every few hours cuz the kitchen manager smoked every 30 minutes.

They'd also make me wash dishes and cut my bussing/serving shift short. I was dumb af cuz I should have not done that but I was in constant fear of getting fired lol not for any good reason other than management were a bunch of assholes.
