This topic was surely made in good faith

She didn't include not being straight or cis, uninclusive trash.

Also the last part is the progressive version of "I'm not racist, but...".

I think her point is that all types of people buy video games and everyone should be represented in them. It's only a sub set of people (usually white straight men) that get upset at representation in video games.

I interpreted it as a "this is proof that not everyone playing games is a white dude" because there are a very vocal group that see protagonists that are women or minorities (usually black) and feel they are being "replaced" when in truth they aren't the only ones playing them

I have no idea how anyone could look at the second statement and see that as "anti white". The entire post was pointing out something very obvious about the gaming industry for the sake of driving engagement, hence the "raise your hand" part - a not-so thinly veiled attempt to get people replying, boosting the visibility of her page.

Media literacy needs to be taught in schools. It's not virtue signaling or hating white people, and it's sure as shit not making a stand for marginalized demographics. It's a quick and easy way to get clout on social media and hopefully parlay that into things like paid interviews and podcast appearances.

She made a perfectly valid claim about the gaming industry that deserves to be made, but given the fact that it's on Twitter and being read by gamers on Twitter, there's realistically nothing constructive or productive that could come from the post outside of people signal boosting her account.
