I appreciate the suggestions y'all, but I gave up on it.
I'm just not well-versed enough in hardware and working outside of Windows in general. But I was able to rollback to Windows 10 and carry over my WWE 2K22 installation(which has a lot of custom content and music) successfully, which was my main concern. Plus, there's something about starting new with new themes and such, that just feels nice. you could have just copied the games folder and put it back where it was
but also you lost your stats for brave (which you can keep through drives by copying the appdata folder for brave and just putting it back on the new installation, also allowing you to keep your autofill stuff, for the most part) --- see my gundams here https://imgur.com/a/F7xKM5r updated 2/28/24; hg rising freedom ... I have some extra drives in my other laptop that I didn't physically move over.
But I did copy WWE 2K22 manually, along with the save file. The other stuff I don't care about, because it's either backed up via cloud(Steam, GOG, etc.) or in the case of games like BG3, I don't mind starting that game over at all. I still have my old saves and game files on the old laptop which I plan on keeping as a work computer, and I've started and played through with so MANY characters in BG3 already. Plus with the other one being loaded to the absolute brim with mods, this gives me the opportunity to be a bit more selective and have a "cleaner" file overall. --- Hail Hydra ...
