As he continued his Monday night madness, Stewart was in a rare form following a week off from his post. Punchy and exasperated, Stewart tore into the investor class protection of, perhaps, the worlds most famous realtor. But Stewart wouldnt take the likes of Kevin OLeary from Shark Tank calling fraud victimless lying down. Hes going to go to some clips! Aside from calling OLeary an asshole, he pointed out the hypocrisy of not holding Trump accountable for a crime simply because every real estate developer everywhere on Earth does it and has never been prosecuted. That sounds more like a global problem needing fixing than a precedent that should be followed because world governments give developers a free pass to break the law. Of course, as Stewart notes, there are examples of conservatives being concerned about fraud: When people are accused of taking advantage of welfare, food stamps, and other social safety nets that barely meet the financial requirements of living in a world where real estate developers unashamedly commit fraud to inflate housing costs. Or when a contestant on Shark Tank does it. In those cases, committing fraud is stinky poo poo.

They probably need to investigate him, too. You don't see tons of real estate developers complaining about this. At the very least, they aren't going on TV and saying they all commit fraud. Seems like it's just him.

Rich and connected people don't even have to bother hiding their crimes. They know nothing will be done about them.

Wild that we live in a world where the followup to "every real estate developer commits fraud" is "therefore, Trump should be allowed to get away with it" and NOT "Therefore, lock them all up".

Crime does in fact pay.

Guy unironically calls himself "Mr. Wonderful." You know he's guilty of overvaluing assets & shit. Out of all the shark tank people, he was always the one that was entertaining when he was on, but then his politics started leaking out & you could see what a shitty person he was.

Sounds like every real estate investor needs to be locked up for fraud then doesn't it?

If all real estate devs do it then I guess it really can happen to anyone (in real estate development)
