It would be almost $300 to actually build it. I love it, except the fences. anyone have any ideas to fix them? It was my first time using Studio. Wasn't as hard as I expected.

Looks good, but the fact that a set that small and basic would cost $300 to build should be illegal

It'd be $500 if there was even a single minifig.

I honestly can't believe how well it turned out. I also expected miserable failure.

Thanks! $90 of that is the scaffolding I added to allow me to make and connect more Routes and Towns. But after 3 days on this, I don't think I'm going to go past Routes 1 and 21, if I even go that far.

No, i get it. $5 for the blind buy bags is nuts.

I plan of doing some Microfigs, but I haven't gotten there yet.

That's really cool, great job!

I wish I had more room to spread out and try some custom builds. I've mostly been collecting sets / pieces for the future since I got back into Lego a couple years ago.

I have thousands of lego bricks in the attic from when I was a kid, literally a 3 ft x 3ft x 4.5 ft shelving rack of drawers sorted by color & specialty pieces... I shudder to think how much they would cost these days.

I think that's just if you buy all the pieces al a carte.

You can probably get most everything you need in a generic bucket.

Thanks! Studio seems pretty good for getting those creative ideas out there, without needing thousands in inventory.

Per piece, LEGO isn't all that much more today then it was twenty or thirty years ago. The sets seem more expensive because they have a lot more parts. All those small tiles make sets look a lot better than they used to, but it comes at a cost.

If your collection has full vintage sets, you can definitely get some money for them. I sold all my childhood sets a while ago, and they all got back at least their original cost. Some can be a big markup.

Thanks! I generally don't, either.

I forgot to mention when replying to TMOG that this isn't all that small. more than 38x32x8 centimeters, 1800 pieces. Those tiles add up fast. and the 8x8 plates it's built on are almost 50 cents to a dollar each, and i used three layers of 30 of them.

All the pieces were from bought sets, the instructions are up there in a drawer with all the pieces... I would think the pieces would be there, I was kinda meticulous as a kid and had most of the sets memorized and could put them together by heart >_>

Didn't really specify, but they are at my mother's house, and I know she mentioned letting kids play with the toys in the attic a couple times when people were staying over. Actually asked me if I minded one time I was over for some holiday lol, I told her I didn't. Don't know if they played with the legos but they might have.

Very cool, though i don't have any interest in the show. I've been close to picking up Jerry Seinfeld's apartment. I just wish it wasn't designed as a TV set instead of an actual apartment.

Now they have this series of different ships on display stands. Very cool, but I don't want to buy another version of the Falcon or X-Wing (I also have nowhere to put them, lol)
