I think it was like mid season 3 or mid season 4 where I caught up and then didn't keep watching as new episodes release?

I remember they just dealt with overhaul and then after that some magician was plotting some dastardly mischief at a carnival or something

I heard that in later seasons they go back on the thing they were setting up with All For One passing on the torch to Tomura in the same one One For All was passed on to Midoriya, and All For One just becomes the main villain for real or something?

Season 5 was lacking, but Season 6 was amazing

Season 4 was the one with Overhaul

Season 7 premieres in May

Season 4 and 5 suck. Most likely because they spent all their time on the movies and shit out those seasons. 6 was really good. I'm gonna assume 7 will suck because they're working on another movie.

I think the last season (6) is some of the best it has ever been.

Season 5 was pretty boring, but season 6 was generally pretty good. Though the impact for me was lessened since it was all mainly stuff I'd been spoiled on.

Bakugo and Shoto get small moments, and the class as a whole gets a couple moments. But it's still mainly just Deku.

I kinda doubt the movies had much to do with it. The one movie was made of mostly unused and deleted scenes and only adding a little new animation. Plus I think other studios worked on them

Season five covers three arcs, but swaps their order from the manga (it doesnt affect anything). One of the arcs got padded out and felt much shorter in the manga. The other has decent pacing, but wasnt especially liked (it wasnt popular in the manga either). The villain arc in s5 was good though.

Season 6 drags. It fleshed out some incidents that were off-screened in the manga, but at the same time gives the feeling of delaying the immediate threat of whats going on.

If youre a big fan of MHA, theyre okay. If you were losing interest, you can skip them. If you care a little, watch the villain arc in s5 and watch s6.

All the good staff were working on the movies and the ones left to work on the actual series were crap. A new director took over in season 4, IIRC. Mirio vs Overhaul and 100% Deku should have been 10/10 moments for that series and instead they were awful. Season 5 in general was drawn out with horrible pacing and was incredibly boring.

I disagree with the order swapping not affecting things tbh. Sure it technically doesn't change the story, but the pacing of the season gets really thrown off and tension is really weird since we get told what happened. Also the villain arc got butchered with how much they cut out (including small stuff like making Spinner the narrator).

Either way, for me

s4 part 1 is fine but drags, part 2 is fun but not for everyone
s5 was really poorly handled
s6 has some interesting stuff but not a fan of the pacing in the latter half

the stuff s7 covers has some high points but not a fan of the arc as a whole. Also for what you said in spoilers TC (includes so far manga-only stuff), AFO takes over, but then Shigaraki manages to regain control. Final battle is Shigaraki vs Deku
