Oh, shit. I've time travelled back to the early 90's and am buying SNES games at Babbages again.

The ball is round, the game lasts 90 minutes. That's fact.
Everything else, is theory.

I can't say it's really unfair. Games 25 years ago on N64 were $60-70 dollars. Everything has been affected by inflation except for console games and AAA games cost more to develop nowadays. Or were video games overly expensive before? If AAA games were $100 I wouldn't feel upset but the issue with that is DLC. They make a lot on that stuff too.

Depends on what's included. There are games that are well over $100 when you add in all the DLC.

I already am pretty choosy when I buy full price games so it wouldn't impact me much.

Single player? Wait for a sale. Multiplayer? I might bite, but only if the game looks really fun, receives universal acclaim, and isn't packed with microtransactions.

I was paying $50 for NES games in the 80s when I was a young kid with limited income. Thats like $136 in todays money. Games never went on sale then. They stayed $49.99 or more forever. They were short as hell too most of the time.

Gaming is cheaper now than it was my entire youth and games drop in price incredibly fast. Plus I have unlimited disposable income when it comes to gaming. I can but whatever I want without even thinking about it. I would have zero issue with it.
