I'm on my way to Nashville for a few days. I've been before and I ate at Hattie B's. I loved it, but I'd like to try a different spot that may be more of a "local favorite."

Please hit me with suggestions! If you have any particular reasons you love (or hate) certain places I'd be interested to get your takes.

Party Fowl probably has some but it was never that great

Honestly, Hattie Bs is pretty top tier even though its a chain. I did Princes once for a work outing and thought it was decent, but looking online the reviews arent actually all that great, so I dunno.

I live relatively close to Nashville, but dont go often enough to have sampled a decent number of other places.

If you've already tried Hattie B's, can't go wrong with Helen's Hot Chicken.

Looks like Lilys Hot Chicken is top rated, if you find yourself in that area. Probably worth a look

I ended up going with Prince's. No waffles, but I thought it would be good to hit up an OG hot chicken spot. It was really good, but based on what I remember (from like ten years ago) I think I prefer Hattie B's.
