They are trying to extend the statute of limitations for a civil case, that already had it extended once.

They ruled creating a look back window past that statute was unconstitutional

*iirc when statute of limitations are increased for crimes it is normally for any crimes committed after the new law was put into place, it cant retroactively go back and extend it for old cases

Depends how you define fair. "Consistent with existing legal practice and convention", yes. "Morally correct", fuck no, statute of limitations for things like systemic child abuse should be indefinite.

See back when I starting giving my two cents on why LGBTQ+ rights should be legal, I use to think the slippery slope argument was a legit, but misguided concern of okaying stuff that would actually be problematic.

Now it's clear that people who are for such are upset cause they don't see the difference between same sex relationship for example over adult dating a minor.
