i mean even before today's news. They're frequently the subject of many tabloids and stuff. so many people do like to read that stuff

Being Austrlaian, we kinda get some of this stuff. It hasn't really been front and centre until the announcement today.

I do listen to a few UK based podcasts which have made jokes about her going missing, part of that context was a little lost on me.

I find the people who obsess over the royals a bit odd. The royals aren't really relevant any more....or ever, really. They're just kinda there and don't do anything of any note or substance.

I dont even keep up with my national monarchy except for a historical documentary on them they tried to block from airing really hard.

I thought people only paid attention when something hits the top of their feed. Like when people got wound up over the questionable photoshop. Or yesterday when to get people to stop they announce she has cancer.

Not officially, but theyre chums with some political parties of which a few are actual monarchists. They also have good ties with certain corporations and thus behind the scenes have a lot of influence. The Dutch royal family never really was like other monarchies to begin with, its very recent and was ran like a company from day 1. The nation itself was basically a giant corporation since its inception, they kind of invented the idea of the modern company.

No. But I hope she recovers from her cancer and uses her platform to make a difference in the fight.

They have treated Harry and Meghan exactly the way they deserved. In fact in my opinion they have been far too lenient.

I will never understand how Harry could drop the utterly drop dead gorgeous Cressida Bonas for that fame hungry little golddigger!

What the hell was the Late Her Majesty and his Majesty supposed to do after Harry and Meghan went on to Oprah and then wrote that book? Were they just supposed to sit there and do nothing? Harry and Meghan have disgraced Britain and The Royal Family. His Highness The Prince Of Wales has even fought his own brother over what Harry has done.

As for the topic at hand yes I will occassionally follow news on The Royal Family.

When something major happens, they're kind of unavoidable.

But I don't go out of my way to check in on what they are doing.

I am British but idgaf at all but I hear about it anyway
