according to new findings from the James Webb telescope. It sounds like some of the science we thought we understood, was wrong

https://www.livescience.com/space/cosmology/james-webb-telescope-confirms-there-is-something-seriously-wrong-with-our-understanding-of-the-universe

I also remember they now think the universe is way older than we thought. They found stars more developed in a time in universe history that should have been impossible

The cosmic microwave background proves there's a cosmic microwave. So when you put stars inside...they get done faster. Wake up, sheeple.

Just to be clear, there is nothing to think the universe isn't roughly 14 billion years old.

Pretty wild. The universe might not even be expanding. Maybe it's just stretching?

No it's not stretching, that would change the speed of light for an outside observer and that doesn't happen.

That article sucks it's barely cogent and steeped in implication and bullshit without actually explaining shit.

It's more likely they just mis-dated the age of some type of galaxy or whatever or they don't know how telescopes work when peering that far into the past or there is a hidden variable that's unaccounted for.

Or they were wrong about the acceleration rate of expansion in the first place.

The way we calculate distance is either flawed or there's something else going on. Same issue with "dark matter." Some galaxies have a lot, while others have very little, so it's either wildly inconsistent or we made it up.

Basically, we have a lot of data but none of it is lining up. Maybe Einstein 2 will save us.
