Three gunmen dressed in fatigues allegedly stormed into a concert hall and started open firing, and the concert hall is now on fire. It's all over social media.

Reports on social media are now saying at least 40 are dead.

Either that, or Russia going full-fash is driving its ordinary citizens homicidally insane, or the Russian government did this themselves as a false flag. Whatever the case may actually be, I'm confident that the Russian government is going to try to pin the blame for the mass murder and arson on Ukraine in some way, shape, or form.

This is probably the most likely one because Russia is apparently planning another wave of mobilizations for an assault on Kharkiv. Very convenient that just after the "election" there's a sudden terrorist attack so they can justify sending thousands more to die in what would be their biggest city battle so far in the name of revenge.

But seriously I'm hoping for the best for the innocent people getting killed in these conflicts. I agree with others saying that no matter who the shooters are, they are most likely going to pin it on the Ukranians to give them more reasons to attack them.

Also a reminder that back in 1999 Putin had 300 people killed and 1000 injured in apartment bombings in a blatant false flag to justify the Second Chechen War. Multiple devices were also found in Ryazan and the people arrested for planting them turned out to be FSB agents who were freed without charges because "actually it was just a training exercise"

Either because the state wanted it to happen so they had a convenient excuse, or because as we've seen with every drone attack on Russian soil, their military Intel and police are hopelessly corrupt and incompetent, and everything they say they have in place to stop these kinds of things doesn't work.

Article said this. So looks like it multiple attacks with obviously a foiled attack being a fine print type story. And the OP an actual mass shooting happen becomes a headline.

Im calling it as Islamic extremists. Theyre usually the only ones radicalized enough to have the stomach to carry shit like this out (in groups). I honestly doubt Ukrainians would pull something like this.

Plus there was the warning from the US a few weeks ago that I think mentioned ISIS. Russia bombed ISIS in Syria so I could see that being the motivation.

I'm sure Putin won't let a good crisis go to waste, next week we will be hearing about how Ukraine passports were found on the bodies.

I regret looking for videos. There is phone camera footage of the shootings... it is rough.

I'd imagine the precautions were among the lines of "tell our citizens that there is no danger and the Americans are lying to scare us so we can maximize casualties and use that as justification for expanding our war machine" like the 1999 bombings

The big thing it says 48 hours. So the 48 hour window went by without incident so maybe the FSB deemed it safe.

This is horrible and will lead to more horrible things due to either fascist government overreaction or this being a false flag to justify targeting whoever Putin wants to target.

but also:

Russian media reports that up to 6,200 people were in the hall at the time of the attack thats how many tickets had been sold for the concert, of the famous Russian rock band Picnic.

The maximum capacity of Crocus City Hall is 9,500, according to the venues website.

An attack like this happened before from Chechenian Islamic separatists so wouldn't be shocked if it's them again. The irony of that attack was Putin authorized something that may or may not have killed hostages (pumping a deadly gas that may or may not have killed 100+ hostages)

There would be a certain irony to this when the US claimed well in advance that Russia was going to invade Ukraine in mid February 2022 and when that passed they mocked the US for fear mongering about a non-existent invasion like a week before they actually invaded
