Wasn't it just that his mount was stolen? Which is actually impossible if you know how WoW works

I think his friends sympathize. Penny I think says it doesn't matter probably. I haven't seen the episode in years. But I remember he finds the thief who just conveniently happens to live in the same state, and goes to his house to confront him

But yea, as I said in my first post, he stole the mount not the account, and that's literally impossible. Mounts are permanently attached to characters. You simply can't take someone's mount

And they had to reach level 30 or whatever to unlock the files.

The show was called Life, and I think it was level 12.
It was on an Xbox, and reaching that level unlocked Microsoft Office.

All I can say after watching that episode is if you have a job interview and the person asks "how do you spend your free time?" don't say video games. I have been crapped on by co-workers and people I've dated for still playing them at my age.

Yea that Prince of Persia thing was on Life. I remember. I watched that whole show when it was airing. It only ran 1 season. But it was about a cop framed for murder who was in prison for life but was exonerated and returned to his old job. And in 1 episode, he had to hack into an Xbox to get some files someone hid

Penny was at one point cripplingly addicted to WoW. I don't remember if it was before or after that episode though. If it was after, she'd have an intimate understanding of how upsetting that would be.

If you watch the BBT episode close, when the cop say they dont have jurisdiction in Pandora his mouth does not match the words.

Im guessing they had to change it for one reason or another.

To be fair, explaining how WoW works to TV viewers is hard. That's why South Park, despite rendering WoW still made the claim you could level up killing level 1 boars.

Just gotta accept the humor they're trying.

Law & Order: SVU had perhaps the worst episode about it: "Intimidation Game". Basically everything the writers could get wrong about gaming, they did. Ice T (who's a gamer) was not shy talking about how much he hated the script.

Ya know I think it would be great if a movie had a character get their computer accessed because they literally had a piece of paper with their passwords under the keyboard. Some people actually are that dumb about computer security, plus it could show the villain's arrogance.

I'm kind of shocked they actually portrayed Mario 64 correctly in the infamous "poorly coded N64 emulator" scene along with the right pause sound effect.

No. Mobs' levels are marked as skull, red, orange, yellow, green, and grey. Skull mobs are much higher level than you and will probably oneshot you, yellow are around your level, and grey are far below your level with the other colors being the gradient between. Grey mobs give no experience.

You might be thinking of DoubleAgent, a guy who leveled his character to max using only herbalism and mining nodes.

And in typing this, I want to say I vaguely remember a dude maxing out with just boars, but he would have been traveling around to appropriately leveled zones to kill them, not just grinding level one board in Elwynn Forest.

You could but you had to leave the starting zone. However, the funny thing is blizzard changed how leveling works and now enemies scale to your level. And elwynn forest now scales up to level 50 or 60. So you actually now CAN level up on those boars

But for most of the games history you had to keep moving to new higher level zones. But yea, the game is riddled with boars at all levels. So people have done this challenge

Reminds me of some NCIS hacking episode.
The Navy main computer, or something, was under attack. They had a nice screen telling how many firewalls they had left and a big countdown of how long time they had until the hacker got access to the hardware.
They manage to find the hackers location at the last minute and storms the place.
Gibbs finds a lonely computer running a hacking script. His computer wizard tries to tell him what to type on the keyboard, but he decides to put two bullets in the monitor instead, which kills the computer and the hacking ends.

There was a guy in WoW who hit max level without joining Horde or Alliance, and without killing a thing.

He was simply leveling with grinding the low level herbs of the starting area of Pandaria.

Not the same ones, no.

Maybe various boars in various zones, but there's generally a cap like 5~ levels from your current level.

As I said, you don't really need to keep within canon of the game if you can make quality jokes. When you make poor jokes though, then it's bad.

Same with keeping with the lore of a literary character. If you can make something good, then it doesn't matter that you deviate, but if you make a pile of shit, why not follow the narrative handed to you.

If a date breaks up with you for playing videogames, you might as well sell your games or just throw them away before your date comes over. If the job is going to micromanage you that much, to where you can't play videogames on your off time, fuck em....u less they pay extremely well
