Here's a breakdown:

  • A state prisoner self-mutilated his own face prompting them to transport him to a local hospital for treatment.
  • After getting treatment while they were getting ready to go back to prison someone drove up, shot 2 of the COs, and drove away with the inmate.
  • BPD arrived on the scene and started firing on the COs, hitting one (all 3 are recovering)
  • Suspect and inmate are still on the loose as of this post
To top it off I received a Blue Alert on my phone at about 10am this morning when the incident happened at 2am. So they had around 8 hours before the public alert was sent out.

I am just picturing in my head the BPD screeching into the parking lot guns blazing at anyone and everyone.

Normally I am pro-tax, because I think we need things like functioning roads and good schools, but in cases like this, I think the people of Boise may be entitled to a refund.

Sounds like something you'd see on Hollywood movie.

They were both caught in Twin Falls (about 2 hours away). There have also been found 2 bodies around that area since they escaped and they are now seen as possible suspects in those killings.

Also they both are members of a white supremacy group so there's that.

Wow crazy story. We usually take care of a few inmates at the hospital who come with guards and handcuffed so crazy to think about that happening at the hospital.
