I don't think I knew what it was until after my daughter was born. Then for years her cuteness has caused me to worry about myself until I found out it was a normal thing called cute aggression where you have an urge to playfully harm them and that it was common.

This goes hand in hand with intrusive thoughts where I actually imagined throwing myself in front of a bus or something that's probably even more disturbing which I won't go into because I don't want it to be misconstrued.

Intrusive thoughts for sure. This is my first time hearing of cute aggression. Can't say I've ever experienced that.

Idk if those two things are related. But yeah cuteness aggressiveness is definitely real lol. Especially with dogs for me.

Intrusive thoughts go along with ADHD and OCD so yeah.

When I was a kid I'd punch and tear off pieces of my pichu plushie because of its cuteness

I think I know what you mean. Its not a dangerous emotion, but like Ill growl like a bear when hugging my son because hes just so cute kind of thing.

i can't walk across a bridge without thinking about jumping
same goes for driving and thinking about just veering a little to the left right into that oncoming 18 wheeler

Its like seeing something that's extremely cute or adorable and then feeling like you don't know what to do with it and you just want to hug or squeeze them so tight.

I suppose puppies would give me such a thing. I get excited when I see a dog or cat but I don't know if I've ever done that. Like I said, before my daughter was born, I didn't know about it.

As for intrusive thoughts, yeah its just weird. It feels shameful to think about.

Yeah, I wouldn't ever fall into making mistakes like that but I have imagined stuff with knives or cars or even heights and I felt ashamed by it. I would even get angry with myself. Awhile back, I learned that it was a common behavior and then I felt a little safer but there's still that annoyance at myself that I'd think that.

Sorry for the misunderstanding. Its not as terrible as it sounds. its like being a kid and playing with a pet and not understanding your own strength or even what the animal might be going through. Just like this 'panic' of 'oh its so cute, I just want to squeeze it!"

I've never actually done such a thing because you know...like Asherlee said, its about self control.

Iintrusive thoughts are definitely a real and (somewhat) normal thing. It's when you genuinely consider it, or think about it constantly that it becomes a problem.

I get strong cute aggression with my cat. He stands on his hind legs with his paws on my leg and reaches out to get picked up. He's so soft and feels so good to hold that I want more, which would be tantamount to squeezing much harder (which of course I would never do). I also get the urge to bite him, which is really fucking weird to me, but he'll lightly "bite" by putting his teeth on my arm without applying pressure while he's clearly enjoying himself so apparently we share that sensation.

I don't even think my cats are that cute. They're about the same as any other cat.

I've had intrusive thoughts but they don't bother me.

Yeah its like when you pretend to eat your baby and/or pets. You dont actually want to eat them but theyre just too damn cute

my terrible thoughts are about everyone thinking Im an assaulter cos one guy in school said it cos of my looks and the kicker is that Im not even easy to get attracted to people I feel no love for people outside my immediate family I have friends but I dont love or want to date them. Idk if these are linked but I dont think so cos before it happened being called that i wasnt sexual so I dont think it is

Fuck if I know I posted a pic in the selfie topic second page, feel free to look. I have a better self image I even say if I lose weight I'd be proper attractive but I naturally had a fat face as a kid even when I was in shape

ok ill admit when i was a child like somewhere between 6-9 years old i tried to squish some puppies with this foldable chair thing (i barely remember details of the chair. wanna say it was made of wood). they were my grandmother's dog's puppies. maybe like 6 of them? i remember them all having different fur colors which i thought was the neatest thing. only one of them had the same fur color as its mother.

my favorite was a gray colored one

they didnt get hurt by my actions i think. just like a light squish. they grew up to be full-sized and all that. though by the time i revisited my grandmother's place all but 1 (the one that resembled the mother) were adopted.

also i tried to suffocate a baby duck one time w/ like half of a coconut shell. don't worry it escaped
