its good but I cant imagine any adults watching it outside of the context of doing so with their toddler

I have no idea, to be honest. I'm not at all opposed to watching shows aimed at kids if they're good (after all, I love Strawberry Shortcake and MLP, for example), but Bluey seems so overly saccharine that it actually annoys me, >.< . If you could get a cavity from watching something, that would be the show to do it.

This show isnt just aimed at kids though. Its aimed at preschoolers

The genius of Bluey is that its a kid show set in a world that functions normally.

It's a little thing but it's still overall pretty unique around that age group. Like Bluey and Bingo live in a normal world that doesn't actually revolve around them. What they have are parents who love them, play with them and make the effort to make their world magical and fun while also trying to teach them to be better. Sometimes it's the parents themselves that learn something with their own attitudes and moods too.

It doesn't sound like much but it's seriously unique compared to the other shows. Shows like Peppa Pig and Paw Patrol that has the entire world revolve around those characters. The world itself is teaching them things and everyone else is there to help them and the audience get there.

That's why it resonates with parents so much too. The overall theme of the show is that childhood is magical for parents as well as the children. Enjoy it and make the most of it.

From what I hear all the parents love it, when theyre usually indifferent or annoyed by kids shows.

I know my sister 'enjoys' it with her sons (4, 6)

visited family a month ago and was the first time i really spent time with my niece, so i was introduced to bluey. honestly, i feel like i might've enjoyed it more than she did. she loves it too but i feel like a lot of the humor is clever, reminds me of bob's burgers, but if everything was hella wholesome and taught good lessons.

also props to the dad character, his reactions and enthusiasm to the wackiness of the show really adds a lot, i think.
