I pay bi-yearly and my payments have gone:

$478
$503
$551
$603

And now it's at $633. In the span of two and a half years it's jumped by 25%. I have zero accidents. I know inflation is a thing, but even taking that into account, this seems excessive. Anyone else experiencing something similar?

Interesting. Mine was consistent like that too for a while and then suddenly it started increasing every time a payment was due. I might have to investigate.

A lot of things can cause that even factors out of your control. If your vehicle model we involved in more wrecks than usual thatll cause your rates to go up

Mine was at like $350 for every 6 months paid in full and in 1.5 years shot up to about $500.
Now I got a new car and it's like $670, but just going on the prior bills before the change it was still massive considering no fucking accidents or anything.

I think it's 1) the rise in carjackings/thefts, especially the Kia Boys shit and 2) electric cars are stupidly expensive to insure b/c they somehow after 15 years still have nonexistent maintenance/supply systems so the insurers are spreading the pain onto everyone.

It's really pissing me off, in any case.

Yeah, mine was below $400 per 6 months and went up to over $500 per 6 months. I ended up modifying my policy to get it down to about $450. Sure do love paying more for less. That's capitalist innovation for you.

Allstate tried that with me. I switched to Liberty Mutual and got a year of coverage for less than six months with Allstate would have been.
