Parentheses for notable FF7-verse game releases, not if you played the listed game first or not

99. Never got a playstation but it got ported to PC thanks to Eidos and I got to enjoy it there. Also was a 4 CD set, and some of the cutscenes were AVI files I could watch when I felt like it.

In 1997. I was active military back then in the Navy. We had about a year before a major deployment again and I was living in a nice townhouse at the Beach with a couple buddies. Played it every night until completion. Loved it.

I got it along with a PlayStation the day it came out, which was a result of coincidence.
I had saved up money doing odd jobs with the intention of buying a PlayStation and wanted to get Tomb Raider and a couple other games. But I saw Final Fantasy 7, looked at it and grabbed it instead. Cashier was like "that just came out today". Took it home, played it all day and realized I made a crucial error, I didn't have a memory card. So I kept pushing myself to shut it off and see how far I could get each time. Took me a month to get a memory card. --- "I dreamt I was a moron." ... Copied to Clipboard!

Like 06 or so, but it was the PC version of the original and I only played it for 5 minutes tops. So I voted for Remake since I played Remake in 2023 and then played and beat the OG in 2023 right after I finished Remake then Crisis Core Reunion. I do think the options are a little too limiting though. What if I played Remake in 2024 as the first time playing any FF7?

Probably 98 or 99. Wasnt in to RPGs at the time of release but not long after it became my favorite PS1 genre.

98 or 99. My uncle had it, I gave it a go, loved it because it was so different from all the prior games I'd played (almost all of which had been platformers, aside from Lemmings).

I got it for christmas that year. Despite getting it like 3 months after it first released toys r us still actually gave me one of the pre-order shirts they had for the game.
