Both sides of that debate suck and are wrong but this is completely on par for the Star Wars fandom.

I keep seeing people shit on the Classic Collection but no one's saying what's wrong with it. I'd take old BFII over the newer one anyday.

From what I've read, the game launched with three servers, so like 180 people could play.

Then they launched more servers but they're all lagging to hell and back.

The game runs fine on Singleplayer and works great on Steam Deck. The only problem for singleplayer is that all the BF2 missions are missing their ending cutscenes for every mission. Also the game takes up 35gigs (and requires 70 gigs open before it can install)

Multiplayer is very rough. They launched with only 3 servers for 9000 people lol.They added more servers now but they all have a lot of latency so it's not fun playing online right now >_> I hope they fix it soon.

The positives of the port are the Xbox exclusive DLC is FINALLY available to everyone, added achievements, and all the textures are up-res'd. There is 2 player splitscreen too. But they really fucked up the multiplayer

I beat galactic conquest last night with my BiL and had a blast

Biggest complaint is there's no 4 players split screen. That's why I bought it this weekend. Super disappointed in that

Ah okay. I always played with bots so the messed up multiplayer wouldn't bother me none and it probably will be fixed eventually. The missing cutscene thing is weird though.

What are you talking about? They only made two battlefronts, released a while ago. That garbage that EA pumps out has no right to call itself anything other than shit.

I ended up buying Battlefront 2 with my refund from the classic collection. I wanted the classics only because i prefer controller, but there are no inversion options in BF1 and only star ships can be inverted in BF2.

I might still be playing BattlEAfront 2 but they didn't support the Starship Assault mode at all <_<

Can confirm. It had a rough go for the first year. But after six months, it got its first major update, gave players actual progression. Then the Clone Wars update happened, reworked the mtx system for cosmetics only (it was disabled before launch for a while), gave us a new mode that was added to all CW maps one at a time (capital supremacy, was later changed to drop the transition half), and gave us a new PvE mode. Oh, and we got four new heroes, two new reinforcements (infiltrators, clones got ARC Troopers, clankers got BX1 commando droids), Clone Commandos and Droidekas as a new Enforcer, one new map for CW era. And all of this would later to applied to sequel era and finally the GCW as the final update
