I had both as a kid, but I played Battlefront 2 way WAY more than 1 and pretty much never touched 1 after 2 came out and shat all over it

But there's a lot of weird shit in 1 like:
-All engineers are pilots and in the pilot garb, and all of them have weird ass weapons instead of the shotgun, like grenade launchers, EMP cannons, etc. Only Rebels have shotguns

-No sprinting really sucks >_> But you can go prone in this game unlike 2, which is fun

-Generic soldiers have 2 sets of grenades: 1 for personnel and 1 for vehicles. In 2 it was just 1 grenade for both

-A couple of maps have starships just chilling on them and you can have dogfights in the air while ground troops fight below. I dont think Battlefront 2 has any of these. Plus maps in general feel way bigger overall, which is both cool and sometimes sucks cuz the CPs are so far away

-There's only 5 classes instead of 6 and you can choose the exclusive class immediately from the get-go

I'm sure there's more but it's neat to see all these little changes I forgot about. 2 is still better but 1 definitely has its own flavor and felt more experimental >_>

Oh wow, the Dark Troopers get shotguns and are way more broken and fun in this game than in BF2. I dont remember this

I remember loving the Rebel Sniper who had the Recon Droid with Orbital strike. It was really fun in levels where you could hang back near a resupply droid and just send it out over and over again to wasted Imperials. Yavin is a really good one for that because you can camp in the temple and kill every enemy on your own.

Other than being able to play as Heroes/Villains, BF2 was worse.

I missed all of the BF1 maps that were not in BF2 so badly.

In fact I think most of those maps were better.

Loved the OG Kashyyyk, Naboo City, Cloud City. Those were some of the best maps.

Nobody frickin asked for Felucia.

Possibly. I know Naboo Battlefield is an exclusive for BF1. I wasn't overly fond of it, though.

Yeah, that map sucked. Also the Rhen Var map that's just a giant ice field. That one was trash took

I like how for some of the maps they did re-use, they added new areas. Like the tunnels they added in Hoth.
