I'm fine with Facebook disappearing.

I deleted my account almost five years ago, and haven't looked back.

Easy Crapbook er I mean Facebook and Twotter er I mean Twitter as I never use them and never will!

For me Twitter, I just don't use it and I think it has the best chance of a better clone coming along and replacing it.

Not sure which one would be the best for humanity, but it's gotta be Facebook or Amazon. Twitter is awful, but for a few people it's been a lifeline.

I would've said twitter since I can't stand the bad side of it. The good side of it for me is following artists.

You can ditch Twitter and Facebook as I dont use them at all. I do occasionally use Amazon to order books, games, or movies but could live without it. I use YouTube a little for movie or game trailers but could live without it. The only one I use regularly is gamefaqs.

I think Twitter is good for up-to-date news, and that it would be a major loss without it on that end.

I don't really care about it otherwise.

I have nearly infinite amount of patience with every artist I like eventually posting to Bluesky or Newgrounds or even Tumblr if they want

Facebook. It probably has caused more brain damage than any other website in history. Even more than Tiktok.

Its influence is really overstated by people since its userbase is really small compared to Facebook.

out of those 5 websites, gamefaqs is the only one whose userbase is

-almost entirely male
-almost entirely past prime youth age
-almost entirely difficult, irritable introverts

if all those other websites disappeared they'd just be replaced by some sort of clone overnight. whereas i think the gamefaqs community is legitimately the sole social lifeline of a few thousand people with nowhere else to go and no obvious backup-space. it wouldn't ruin the most lives to have gamefaqs disappear compared to the other sites, but it would ruin them the hardest >_>

4chan, ResetEra, Kiwii Farms, incel.is those forums where disgruntled internet people congregate. Get rid all of them.

Also, threaten Reddit that they need to crackdown on some of the forums where these types of malicious internet people hang out and plot terrible things

Because it's useful. Information can be communicated to the public with an click of a button. Exposing racists, posting news, updates on sports, challenging evil people, gaining knowledge on thousands of topics, exposing people who did something wrong, helping small businesses get business, etc. is a great thing. Porn videos are movies, should we ban all movies? I don't want to go back to the old, outdated days where we only get news from TV and only get breaking news on TV when something really serious happens
