We just don't want people spoiling, say, OG FF7. Some little 13 year old Zoomer comes to GameFAQs to look something up and gets the plot spoiled. Believe it or not, outside CE people use GameFAQs to discuss games and new people play those games.

the mods on this site were on some bullshit from like 2003 to 2014 (and probably earlier but i dont remember that far back) and it probably played a sizable role in the site's decline tbh. the sycophants surrounding them didn't help either

Its definitely stupid. A person can espouse fascist opinions and admit to supporting a fascist party, but apparently calling such a person a fascist, which they by definition are, is crossing a line.
