Even further back, Chevalier d' Eon who lived through 1720's to 1810 lived more of her life as a woman and multiple cultures have had non-binary gender identities stretching back into the BCs.

Being trans and non-binary have existed orders of magnitude longer than the people decrying those identities.

The identities themselves go back to prehistory that's not really what I looking at here. Just the history of medical support for it which is much more well documented and can illustrate social progress of regions and how destructive fascism is to progress.

Yeah, it was more an expansion on how long it all has existed. And it may very well be possible that many of the older cultures devised ways of treatment that we've either long lost or will no longer practice due to medical standards. Berlin just became a very clear cautionary tale.

When not debating the actual argument backfires. Its funny she didnt debate being compared to Nazis and instead went after the book claim.

There were also certificates to present as their identified gender in public due to laws against crossdressing (it was called transvestite back then) and could obtain a name change (albeit chosen from a limited list.)

FYI, there's no such thing as "gender dysmorphia," it's called gender dysphoria. This is an important distinction because sometimes people conflate body dysmorphic disorder (sometimes called body dysmorphia informally) and gender dysphoria because the spelling is similar. BDD (body dysmorphic disorder) has nothing to do with being trans and is when a person has a delusional / warped perception of themselves, and which can be treated with psychotherapy. Misinformation about trans healthcare is unfortunately too common and harmful to the trans community.
