Mid '90s: 94-96

You're not a 90's kid unless:

- You were born no earlier than 1971 and no later than 1976
- You have a VERY strong opinion on Nick vs Cartoon Network
- You do not own anything that isn't neon.
- You owned a SNES, a Genesis and a TG16.
- You have memorized the entire scripts to at least three Tim Curry movies.

If you meet ALL of the above criteria, you can apply to be a 90's kid by writing to the address all 90's kids know. Many will enter, few will win.

90, 91, 92 is early
93, 94, 95, 96 is mid
97, 98, 99 is late

you could certainly make an argument that some other block of years should be the block of 4, but it seems odd to have it at the start or end, so putting it in the middle makes the most sense imo

unless we just go early and late

then it is 90, 91, 92, 93, 94
and 95, 96, 97, 98, 99

Here in Australia we didn't have separate channels like that back then. We frequently had shows from both of those channels aired back to back on the same network.

There's a trick to telling if someone is a 90s kid, but it's tricky and you need to commit to the investment.

Take them to a 90sless house. A party, a gettogether, whatever. Make sure no one else is a 90s kid, and make sure there are no pogs around, or it won't work. They can leave normally.

A few weeks, months will pass. Rarely, over a year.

If they were a 90s kid, you will, 100% of the time, find a pog somewhere in your couch, under your carpet, under your TV, somewhere on a bookshelf, or in a toy chest.

And my buddy had a TG 16. BonksAdventure, Splatterhouse, some wresting game, and a space shooter called Psychosis. I liked the wrestling game.

thats sounds pretty sweet. Was it like an all star channel with the best of both or was it random which ones they chose to air?

I was always solidly a Cartoon Network kid, but there were a few Nickelodeon shows I really liked to. I mostly disliked Disney Channel outside of the original movies.

wth? How is that a 90s kid? That's an 80s kid dude. I was born in 1988 and remember most of what happened since at least 1991. At least in t.v. shows and toys and such.
