How hyped are you?

My hype is like when you get in a really cold pool and your dick like shrinks really small

So a prequel to The Omen about Damian's Mother instead of Damian. Where basically the same kinds of things happen.

Except the entire premise is immediately a giant retcon because Damian's mother was a jackal.

I suppose I can't rule out she is turned to a jackal when she gives birth but that's also stupid.

The Omen is perhaps the most iconic horror franchise that the least amount of people talk and care about. I wonder if most of the modern audience even knows about the original anymore. I'm surprised they never followed up on that 2006 reboot but I guess that didn't do good enough or something.

They are just absolutely after ruining good horror movies this year, eh? Leave the Exorcist and Omen be....

But the First Omen came out like 40 years ago.

So this is basically Omen Episode I: The Phantom Omenace.

Uh.... in the first movie they made it clear that Damien was born from an actual jackal not a human woman.

Tbf that's only because they dug up his mom's grave. It could be retconned that somebody moved her body and put a jackal there.

The last few trailers I've seen for new movies are doing that "The trailer begins now!" thing. Why is this suddenly a thing? We know it's beginning now.

Not very hyped at all.
Another franchise reboot that looks like it's engineering to hit all the beats for the audience, but overall shallow. I still watch it when it comes a streaming service.

This. I'm done with Omen movies. I even thought the story in the first one was silly, but at least Gregory Peck and David Warner are there to make it worth my while.
