I'm not talking about catfishing, or trolling, or even outright identity theft.

What I'm talking about is your online persona different from the real you. Or are you basically the same online as in reality. (This is of course, assuming that you actually exist)

I will say that am a *lot* gayer online than in person, but then it's much easier to be gay when there's no real barriers or threat of repercussion or awkwardness. I might make a pass at you if you're hot, but generally I just tend to keep to myself.

My sober irl self is not very talkative. I'm actually scared to talk to people. Mainly about raising my voice. I can't fucking raise it without my voice cracking . I never learned to use my diaphragm (also low lung capacity + anxiety doesn't help) . I've been told that I am soft spoken by people at my old job

Maybe when I was in my late teens / early 20s. I tried to be "cool" online. That was the early days of the internet. I'm in my 40s now and couldn't care less. I'm exactly the same online as I am in person.

Im way tamer online. In my real life friendship circle there are no mods or ToS so we can just freely say naughty words and analyze thoughts.

I see no problem with it. Just don't take your persona too far too the deep end and you're fine. The way I look it is I act differently when I'm at work, when I'm with family, when I'm with friends, when I was at school. Nothing wrong acting differently on the Internet as well. You adjust to your environment.

Not really, I guess here I am able to share an excitement for vidya that I cant irl mostly because I dont know many people that can appreciate games like Ogre Battle or stuff like Icewind Dale

But really, all my opinions posted on here arent any different. What would be an extreme example of a big dissonance between me here and irl would be actions committed. Theres very few things I care to regard when it comes down to that. All in the spirit of rock and roll of course >_>

Online or off, it depends entirely on the person or people I'm communicating with.
