I feel like Dalton was the best Bond, but his movies weren't consistently interesting, so that works against him. All Bonds they've chosen have been pretty good, though, Craig included.

Timothy Dalton in my opinion. He was suave, but not over the top with it. He felt more realistic compared to the others. He's closest to the literary Bond too, which I like. The Living Daylights is probably my favorite Bond movie and doesn't get as much love as it should.

I think all of the Bond actors are great though even if some of their movies weren't great. They all did a good job at being Bond. George Lazenby gets a lot of undeserved flak. I don't think any of the others could have done the ending scene of On Her Majesty's Secret Service as good as he did and he was a very inexperienced actor at the time.

His movies stunk except for Goldeneye. Disinterested Sean Connery still made Diamonds are Forever amusing. Pierce Brosnan doesn't get me coming back to The World Is Not Enough.

I think Dalton would easily be the best if he had more than two. So I'd have to give it to Connery over him simply because Connery was in more.

Pierce Brosnan wasn't in the top Bond films, but for the too suave for the room bigger than life superspy Bond vibe, nobody fit or looked the part like Brosnan imo.

I grew up on Roger Moore and I remember the switch to Dalton. Dalton felt short lived with just 2 movies. He also seemed more serious and without some of the humor the others had. Hes probably the closest Bond to the book character but I honestly prefer the others.

I do think Brosnan is top notch and the way he is played is really good. Ultimately I think all of them have been pretty good, though for as famous as the character is I havent really liked a lot of the movies.

Visually I would agree. Film-wise, I feel like every movie he was in is worse than the one before it.

Dalton was my favorite, liked that he had a little bit of an edge to him but was still the old superspy concept.

Connery.

I like Brosnan Bond, but I also think Timothy Dalton was under-rated... still I got to go with Connery #1 and Brosnan #2

I like The World Is Not Enough. It's pretty much a sequel to On Her Majesty's Secret Service with how much it ties back into Bond's whirlwind romance with Tracy when the feelings resurface after meeting Elektra King.

The first half of Die Another Day is Brosnans best. That movie gets worse and worse so that by the time it ends it is the worst. I think he is better than the movies he is in. Dalton I grade an incomplete, Craig is good enough that he transcends some movies of iffy quality. Connery is so much better as Bond than he has any right to be, I dont think he is a great actor but he is damn fun in the right roles. Lazenby sucks. Moore did fine keeping the series alive for a long time.
